Jerrice is a poet, author and poetry facilitator for children & adults. She has seven children's books published and Wintry Mix a poetry book for adults! Her poetry has been published in many journals and magazines: Artemis Journal, The Yale Review, Mantis, Kosmos Journal, The Banyan Review, Wax Poetry & Art, The Caribbean Writer, Black Fox Literary Magazine and hundreds of others! Jerrice is the author of the popular book full of positive messages for girls and young women Tu Es Ma Belle, You Are My Beautiful. For the past eighteen years, Jerrice has worked with girls & women to develop positive body-image using poetry and creative writing as tools. She has facilitated hundreds of poetry workshops & events most recently at Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY, The Beatrix Farrand Garden in Hyde Park, NY, The Prattsville Art Center & Residency where she has been Poet-in Residence since 2021 and has offered workshops through CREATE in 2022. Jerrice was nominated as Best of the Net in 2022 by Blue Stem! Her work is highly praised for its positive, radiant and nurturing messages for all ages! Her poetry & collaborative songwriting are included on the Grammy nominated album: Many Hands Family Music for Haiti!! Jerrice lives in the Hudson Valley.
